I draw artistic inspiration from being outside in all seasons.  Working  in watercolor, ink or mixed media I  create small-sized compositions where I quickly capture the essential elements of the  location. Less concerned with an accurate rendering, instead  I am focusing on expressive lines, harmonious colors, and simple shapes. My reductive method of paring down natural forms to their essential contours, colors and rhythms results in bold artistic statements based on simple abstractions.
